Author Guidelines
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed Ikhtisar: Jurnal Pengetahuan Islam is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore essential to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher, and the society.
Institut Agama Islam Sumatera Barat Pariaman as the publisher of Ikhtisar: Jurnal Pengetahuan Islam takes its duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing exceptionally seriously, and we recognize our ethical and other responsibilities. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint or additional commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. Besides, the Institut Agama Islam Sumatera Barat Pariaman, and the Editorial Board will assist in communications with other journals and publishers where this is useful and necessary.
However, for authors who have submitted their articles, they are required to fill in the data for submitting articles to the journal which can be downloaded on the journal page. In addition, for articles that have been processed by the journal team (Editors and Reviewers), it is strictly forbidden to withdraw the manuscript. If the author continues to withdraw, the author must pay a penalty from the journal (IDR: 250,000). And if the article has been published and wants to withdraw, then the author is obliged to pay a penalty (IDR: 500,000) and if he does not make a payment, then the author's name listed on the draft article is entered in the journal's blacklist data and published online. Procedure for writing articles
1. Articles must use Zotero or Mandeley in citing sources and the bibliography.
- Maximum 20% turnitin results by submitting turnitin results for plagiarism of the submitted article.

- The title is written in capital letters with a maximum of 14 words and describes the content of the article discussed. The title may not use abbreviations.
- Write the author's name and email in full with Times New Roman 12 font, with left and right alignment positioned in the centre and size 11.
- Abstract consists of English and Indonesian with a maximum of 250 words using Times New Roman 12 font and size 11.
- Keywords / keywords using English and Indonesian with a minimum of 3 words and a maximum of 5 words.
- Introduction must clearly state, gap research, purpose or scope of the article writing. The manuscript is typed with left-right aligned paragraphs, indents: 0 cm, first line 1 cm; font: Times New Roman 12 pt, with 1.15 spacing. The file (file) is created with Microsoft Word. And the number of pages of the article is at least 15 pages, and the language used in writing this article, namely English.
- Literature Review contains articles and writings related to the discussion. There are at least 3 literature reviews from the last 10 years, explaining the differences and similarities of the research discussed by the author.
- Research methods briefly explain the data and its sources, variable definitions and analysis methods used in the research. If the sub method includes a table, then the placement of the table uses a flat centre with the title above the head of the table and the source below the table using Arial Unicode Ms size 12pt. Each table must be referred to in the article manuscript.
- The systematic writing of results and discussion must refer to the research objectives and hypotheses. Writing sub-chapters (if any) without numbering, using Times New Roman font size 12 pt. The discussion is required to include scientific references (theory and previous research or other scientific sources), must convey the implications of the research results. If there are sub-chapters, the writing protrudes to the right 2cm (indensation 2). Table placement uses flat centre, with the title above the head of the table and the source below the table. Title writing uses Times New Roman Bold 10 pt font. Table contents are written in Arial Unicode Ms 10 pt, single spaced. Table lines only use horizontal lines (no vertical lines) (Antonio, 2013). Each table must be referenced in the manuscript.
- Conclusion, the conclusion should answer the objectives of the study. Conclusions are written concisely and clearly in one paragraph (without numbering). If necessary, the writing of suggestions is still allowed in another paragraph in the conclusion chapter.
- Reference. Must consist of quotations from articles, research theses, thesis, dissertations, classical books, interview results.

Author Guideline
Ikhtisar: Jurnal Pengetahuan Islam
The following are article writing guidelines for authors who will submit manuscripts to Ikhtisar: Journal of Islamic Knowledge. These guidelines must be followed carefully to maintain the quality of the article and facilitate the assessment process by the reviewer team.
Title
The title of the article must be written in Indonesian using Times New Roman font size 12 bold.
The maximum number of words in the title is 14 words, with a center-aligned format.
Abstract
Abstract and keywords must be written in English and Indonesian.
The abstract uses Times New Roman font, size 11, 1.15 spacing, and italic text.
The abstract is about 200 words long and is organized in one paragraph.
The content of the abstract includes the background of the problem, research objectives, methods used, and research conclusions.
Keywords
Keywords must be at least 3 keywords. Example: Ikhtisar; Journal of Knowledge; Islam.
Introduction
The introduction includes a review of previous research, the urgency of the research, the problems raised, and the solutions offered.
The author's name and citation are clearly written, for example: (Author Name, Year: Page).
Using Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.15 spacing, with an indent of about 1 cm for each paragraph.
Writing the problem, objectives, and uses of research is done in a narrative manner without special subheadings.
Articles must use primary references from the last 10 years to strengthen originality.
Literature Review
The literature review includes a minimum of 3 studies and a maximum of 5 studies relevant to the topic.
The author must explain the similarities and differences between the previous research and the article being discussed.
Research Methods
The research method should explain the type of research, time and place of research, target/targets, research subjects, procedures, instruments, and data analysis techniques.
There is no need to use sub-chapters. The content of the method explanation is adjusted to the type of research conducted.
Results and Discussion
Research results are presented in the form of graphs, tables, or descriptions. The data displayed is the data that has been analyzed.
Tables and figures are clearly titled and placed in the right position in the text. Examples of writing table and figure titles are given in this rule.
The discussion should be directly related to the research results and explain why the data was found and its relevance to existing theories.
Conclusion
The conclusion is written in the form of a paragraph that summarizes the research findings without using bullet points or numbering.
Bibliography
The bibliography is written in APA Style Version 7 format using reference software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or similar applications.
The number of references is at least 20 references with a proportion of 80% primary references (journals, research reports, proceedings papers) and 20% secondary references (books, theses, theses, dissertations).
References must be from relevant sources within the last 10 years.
To maintain the quality of scientific publications, Ikhtisar: Journal of Islamic Knowledge applies a number of guidelines for authors who wish to submit their articles. The following are the terms and conditions that must be met:
- Use of References with Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote
Authors are required to use one of the three reference management applications-Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote-in writing bibliographies and citations. This aims to ensure consistency of format and quality of references used in the article.
- Plagiarism Maximum 20% (Turnitin)
Each submitted article will be checked using Turnitin software to ensure the originality of the writing. Articles containing more than 20% plagiarism will be rejected. Authors are expected to present original work and give proper citations to relevant sources.
- Use of Journal Templates
Authors are required to use the official journal template provided by Ikhtisar: Journal of Islamic Knowledge. The use of this template aims to maintain consistency in the format and appearance of articles, so that they comply with journal publishing standards.
- Revision Based on Reviewers' Comments
After going through the peer-review process, the author is obliged to make revisions according to the suggestions and comments from the reviewers. Articles that do not meet the standards or are not revised according to the feedback will be returned to the author. This revision is an important stage in ensuring that published articles are of high academic quality.
- Eligibility for Publication
Submitted articles must be suitable for publication, both in terms of content, academic quality, and relevance to the focus of the journal. Only articles that have been revised and approved by the editorial board after going through the peer-review process will be published.
