https://ojs.iaisumbar.ac.id/index.php/ijr/article/view/1208

This study aims to analyze the infiltration of the ma’tsur sources, namely the hadiths about the virtues of the surahs of the Qur'an. Imam as-Suyūṭī in Tadrib ar-Rawi said that the hadiths concerning the virtues of the surahs of the Qur'an are mostly weak, only a few surahs are considered to be based on authentic hadiths, but in reality, other authentic or hasan hadiths were found in several other surahs, which he mentioned among others in the book al-Itqan fi 'Ulum Alqur’an. This study is a qualitative library research that is analyzed using content analysis techniques related to the infiltration of the hadiths about the virtues of the surahs of the Qur'an according to Imam as-Suyūṭī in his works al-Itqan fi 'Ulum Alqur’an and Tafsir ad-Dur al-Mantsur. While the secondary data sources of this study are books, articles, literature, journals and internet sites that are relevant to the research being conducted. The findings of this study are that some of the virtues of the surah mentioned have hadiths about its virtues with authentic and hasan hadiths, such as the virtues of Q.S. Hud, Q.S. al-'Ala, al-Bayyinah, as-Sajdah al-Mufashshal and others. However, there are also several hadiths of the virtues of surahs that are considered mawdhu and many are dha'if such as the virtues of surah al-Rahman, al-Isra' al-Musabbahat.
Rengga IrfanKhairul Bahri NasutionEdriagus Saputra

https://ojs.iaisumbar.ac.id/index.php/ijr/article/view/1225

The massive integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Islamic education and Quranic studies has triggered an epistemic crisis in the form of the degradation of intellectual authority and the erosion of spiritual values. This research aims to formulate a framework for Quranic thinking ethics in the AI era through a thematic analysis of Surah Al-Isrā’ verse 36 from the perspectives of Fakhruddin al-Rāzī and Quraish Shihab. This qualitative study employs a library research method with a comparative-hermeneutical approach. The primary sources used are Mafātīḥ al-Ghayb (Volume 20) and Tafsīr al-Mishbāh (Volume 7), supported by secondary data from contemporary journals on AI and Islamic ethics. The results indicate that al-Rāzī emphasizes the moral-rational dimensions of epistemic tools (hearing, sight, and the heart) as a divine trust (amanah), while Quraish Shihab focuses on social-intellectual responsibility in navigating the modern flow of information. The synthesis of these two perspectives produces the concept of "Quranic Thinking Ethics," which demands epistemic accountability (al-mas’ūliyyah al-‘ilmiyyah). This framework asserts that AI must be positioned as a tool under human control to preserve the sanctity of revelation and the authenticity of knowledge from the risks of algorithmic reductionism and academic dependency
KhobirAzhar nasution

https://ojs.iaisumbar.ac.id/index.php/ijr/article/view/1236

The background of this research is that in Islamic teachings, there is a recommendation to dress simply and according to sharia provisions. Excessive appearance or known as tabarruj, is prohibited as regulated in the Qur’an Surah al-Ahzab verse 33. This study attempts to analyze tabarruj in a book newly published in 2023 from the Indonesian region in the Book of Hidāyatul Al-Qur’an fi Tafsīr Al-Qur’an bī Al-Qur’an interpreted by mufassir K. H Afifudin Dimyathi and from the view of mufassirah in the Egyptian region in the book Al-Lū’lū wa Al-Marjān fī Tafsīr Al-Qur’an interpreted by Kariman Hamzah. This research is a library research, using descriptive analysis methods. The primary data is from the book Hidāyatul Al-Qur’an fi Tafsīr Al-Qur’an bī Al-Qur’an and Al-Lū’lū wa Al-Marjān fī Tafsīr Al-Qur’an while the secondary sources are related books or reading sources. The results of this study indicate that tabarruj from the book Hidāyatul Al-Qur’an fi Tafsīr Al-Qur’an bī Al-Qur’an mentions that tabarruj is showing jewelry other than the face, palms and what is visible without intending to show it. On the other hand, in Al-Lū’lū wa Al-Marjān fī Tafsīr Al-Qur’an, tabarruj is mentioned, namely showing the arms, legs, limbs, head, ears and the hijab does not cover the head, the gaps in the clothes can show the chest and back, and also stamping the feet when walking, on the arms a handful outside the palms, quoting the opinion of Qatadha which is based on the Hadith of Aisyah r.a. is permissible.
valentina zaharaFaizinNovizal Wendry

https://ojs.iaisumbar.ac.id/index.php/ijr/article/view/1158

The increasing incidence of Online Gender-Based Violence (OGBV) underscores that digital spaces not only expand opportunities for social interaction but also give rise to new and increasingly complex forms of sexual violence. The existence of regulations such as the Sexual Violence Crimes Law (UU TPKS) is crucial; however, empirical realities indicate that legal approaches alone are insufficient without an ethical foundation capable of shaping responsible digital behavior within society. This study aims to formulate strategies for non-violent digital sexual interaction grounded in maqāṣid-based Qur’anic interpretation through an analysis of four key verses: Q. al-Isrāʾ [17]:70, al-Nūr [24]:27–31, al-Isrāʾ [17]:32, and al-Ḥujurāt [49]:11. Employing a qualitative method based on library research and thematic content analysis, this study extracts maqāṣid principles using the approach of Wasfi Asyur Abu Zayd, reinforced by Ibn ʿĀshūr’s balāghah analysis and Jasser Auda’s systemic framework. The findings reveal that OGBV constitutes a form of systemic destruction of al-ḍarūriyyāt al-khams, particularly ḥifẓ al-ʿirḍ (protection of honor), ḥifẓ al-nafs (protection of life), and ḥifẓ al-ʿaql (protection of intellect). These insights lead to the formulation of five operational strategies integrating individual ethics, digital policy, protective technology, safe communities, and cultural campaigns, positioning maqāṣid-based interpretation as both a normative and strategic framework for preventing digital sexual violence.
Tasya SalsabillaLaila Sari Masyhur Nanda Riswanda Pohan

https://ojs.iaisumbar.ac.id/index.php/ijr/article/view/1170

This study examines the representation of Quranic prayer verses as a manifestation of Living Quran on the Khalid Basalamah Official YouTube channel. The rapid growth of digital da'wah platforms has transformed how Quranic verses are communicated, making audiovisual analysis of religious content increasingly important. This research used a qualitative method with an instrumental case study approach, focusing on one video titled "Kajian Tematik: Doa Mustajab" uploaded on November 4, 2024. Data were collected through observation and documentation of audiovisual elements, supported by tafsir literature and related academic sources. The theoretical framework applied Stuart Hall's representation theory alongside the concept of Living Quran in digital media. The study found that three verses, QS. Al-Baqarah: 186, QS. Ghafir: 60, and QS. Az-Zariyat: 56, were represented through an encoding process that repositioned mustajab prayer from cultural tradition to a textually grounded religious obligation rooted in the Salafi manhaj. Audiovisual elements including firm vocal intonation, authoritative facial expressions, explicit citation of classical texts, and on-screen visual framing worked together to construct theological authority. This study concludes that YouTube-based da'wah reflects an active Living Quran phenomenon in the digital era.
Muhamad Wildanul AfLaila Sari Masyhur
